What is your connection with the US? I grew up in America! I spent two years just outside Atlantic City, New Jersey, and six years in Lake Tahoe before returning to the UK. My childhood was spent in the pine forests of California, where I learned to ski at Heavenly Ski Resort and visited the region’s many National Parks.

What’s your favourite US city? Although every city has its unique charm and personality, there are some that tug at your heartstrings. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the United States, is one of those cities for me. I love the city’s rich history, outstanding architecture, down-to-earth community spirit and the smell of Philly cheesesteaks in the air. You can visit sites such as Independence Hall, catch an American Football game at the Lincoln Financial Stadium or follow the footsteps of Rocky Balboa at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

My favourite road trip would have to be The Golden Triangle. Being a lover of nature and incredible vistas, the amazing national parks of Yosemite, Death Valley, and Joshua Tree will always strike awe. The drive down the Pacific Coast Highway, San Fransisco to Los Angeles through Big Sur is simply perfection!
